The whole family will enjoy WonderWorks! The topsy-turvy upside down building is a sight to see, and there are more than 100 hands-on exhibits throughout the 35,000 square feet building. Admission for adults is $29.99, while kids are $23.99, but children under three are free. The price includes all exhibits, the 4D XD Motion Theater, laser tag, and the Glow-in-the-Dark Ropes Course.
Florida may be the Sunshine state, but it can see rainy days. The next time rain falls, bring the kids over to Monkey Joe’s, an indoor inflatable play center located on International Drive. Monkey Joe’s is designed for kids 12 and under with admission prices ranging from $6.99 to $12.99. Adults are free. The indoor activity center includes an arcade, and separate play area for toddlers.
With something for all ages, Fun Spot America is like the carnivals and amusement parks of yesteryear. Find single-day passes for about $40, or if you’re a local, get a season pass for about $100. You can bring the family and plan to spend a day riding everything from the classic Carousel to Tea Cups, Bumper Kars, Scrambler, and Tilt-a-Whirl. There are also Midway games, roller coasters, and a variety of Go-Karts. Coaster junkie? Fun Spot America is home to Florida’s tallest wooden roller coaster.
Looking for an iconic Florida destination? Plan to take the kids to visit Gatorland to see Florida wildlife up close and personal. You can see the alligator marsh, visit the aviary, or petting zoo, and try out the Scream’ Gator Zip Line. Disney Springs, formerly the Disney Marketplace, is part of the Walt Disney World resort area, but it’s free and open to the public. It’s a large shopping and restaurant district with its own waterfront and many things to see and do. In the heart of Disney Springs is the LEGO Imagination Center and store. There are hands-on play stations where kids can create with LEGO blocks, bringing all sorts of ideas to life. The gigantic LEGO sculptures out front are perfect for a photo opp to commemorate your visit!
